Never one to conform to trends, Steve Harrison describes his hats as “wearable sculpture”. His unique approach to the art of millinery can be attributed to a varied background which includes studies as diverse as psychology, biochemistry and industrial design. Steve continues to study new materials and traditional methods. He is constantly developing new techniques to apply to his works.
As an Australian milliner now based in London, Steve has gained international recognition for his unique millinery designs. He has been a repeat finalist in The Hat Designer of the Year; a prestigious international competition held in Paris.
Steve’s hat designs have been described in the media as whimsical, stimulating and sometimes even controversial. Steve H provides a private consultation service for made-to-measure commissions, working with the client to create the ultimate hat for a special occasion.
